Yogi Adityanath to Become Longest Serving UP Chief Minister on March 25

The state government proposed to go into celebration mode to mark the completion of chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s six years in office.

Yogi Adityanath is now all set to become the longest-serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with an unbroken tenure on March 25. Also, he will complete the first year of his second term on that day as well.

Thus, he will hold the record of remaining in the chief minister post for six consecutive years and six days.

The state government proposed to go into celebration mode to mark the occasion.

Notably, earlier, Dr. Sampurnanand of the Congress remained U.P. chief minister for 5 years and 345 days from 1954 to 1960.

About the celebration

According to a press release, Yogi will hold a press conference on March 25 in Lucknow. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, the party's state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, state general secretary (organization) Dharampal Singh, and other party officials will be present.

In the press conference, the Chief Minister will present the achievements of six years of his government.

He will speak about the current investment-friendly environment in the state, along with other changes that have taken place in the state in the past six years.

Following the state-level press conference, the ministers will hold press conferences in various districts where local MPs, MLAs, district panchayat president, and Legislative Council members will be present.

Moreover, the party's state unit will celebrate the occasion with various events.
