This year, the Women’s Premier League witnessed the Mumbai Indians beating the Delhi Capitals

2025 has been an immensely successful year for India’s women’s cricket, especially for Harmanpreet Kaur, who not only led the team to its first-ever maiden ODI World Cup title but also, in the domestic circuit, guided the Mumbai Indians to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 title.

As the year comes to an end, here’s a recap of the Mumbai Indians’ top performers in the WPL 2025, including the top performance in the final match against the Delhi Capitals.

Highest run scorer

It is no surprise that three of the Mumbai Indians’ players made it to the top five of the highest run scorer’s table. Natalie Sciver-Brunt grabbed the top spot, scoring 523 runs in 10 matches at an average of 65.37 while maintaining a strike rate of 152.47. She also hit five half-centuries in the tourney. The third and fifth spots were grabbed by Hayley Matthews and Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 307 and 302 runs, respectively, in 10 WPL matches.

Most Fours

Natalie Sciver-Brunt also topped this category by hitting the greatest number of fours. She hit a total of 84 sixes in 10 matches, but surprisingly, only four sixes came off her willow.

Most Fifties

When it comes to hitting the greatest number of centuries in the tourney, Sciver-Brunt once again topped the list with her five half-centuries. Her contribution this season was one of the biggest reasons behind the Mumbai Indians' trophy-lifting season. She also grabbed the Most Valuable Player award with 361 points.

Most Wickets

Moving on to bowling performance, the Mumbai Indians’ Amelia Karr ended the tournament as the top wicket-taker with 18 wickets. She registered a best figure of 5/38 with an economy of 7.75 throughout the tourney. Indians’ Hayley Matthews also scalped 18 wickets but slipped to second place because of her 8.22 economy and best figure of 3/16.

Most Dot Balls

Mumbai Indian’s Shabnim Ismail grabbed the Most Dot Balls award by throwing 131 dot balls throughout the number. Even in terms of maximum dot balls thrown in a single match, Ismail topped the chart with 19 dot balls in four overs against the Gujarat Giants. Ismail only gave away 17 runs in that over and took one wicket.

Mumbai Indians vs. Delhi Capitals

In the final match of the tournament, skipper Harmanpreet led from the front with 66 runs off 44 balls, whereas Sciver-Brunt added 30 runs in 28 deliveries, which helped Mumbai post a target of 149 runs. The second innings saw Brunt pick up three wickets, while Kerr grabbed two, putting an end to Delhi Capitals' innings and lifting the trophy.
