Before stepping into the entertainment industry, Sunil Dutt worked as a supervisor at Mumbai's BEST transport division at a bus depot in Dadar. At that time, he was an undergraduate student at the Jai Hind College, University of Bombay in Churchgate, South Bombay.

Well, destiny had some other plans for him! He soon got a job as a radio jockey and became immensely popular in the Hindi Service of Radio Ceylon (the oldest radio station in South Asia).

Shortly after, he got the opportunity to act in Hindi films.

Later, Dutt recalled in an interview that his job at the transport division helped him grow as a human being.
