So, in this article, let's discuss what we can expect from the third season of 'The Family Man'.

Srikant Tiwari To Confront Another Threat To National Security

You may remember that the post-credit scene of the last episode of season 2 gave us a glimpse of what may lie ahead. There were hints of a storyline revolving around a threat (according to many, it could be similar to the Covid-19 pandemic) to India's security where China is involved. Compared to the last two seasons, this will be an even bigger terror, exploring the dimensions of India-China relationships. And it will be really interesting to see how Srikant confronts a new threat while simultaneously trying to manage his family issues. We can expect plenty of unpredictable plot twists along with intense action sequences.

Exploration Of Geo-Political Issues

'The Family Man' is known for its excellent exploration of real geopolitical issues. The first season dealt with Kashmir issues, while also shedding light on terrorism and more. The second season explored various aspects of the political tensions between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. As Raj and DK shared in one of their interviews, "One of the important things about 'The Family Man' is we want to be authentic. Whichever region we are showing, we have taken out the form from that region to portray its own culture. It'll be a crime to take some reels and portray some other cultures."

Bajpayee revealed a couple of months back that they would mostly shoot in the northeast this time. So, the upcoming season is likely to explore the contemporary geopolitical issues in North-East India, especially Arunachal Pradesh. And it's a Raj and DK show, so we can surely expect it to be a sensitive and research-driven portrayal.

Srikant Tiwari And Family

In the last season, we saw Srikant's relationship with his wife, Suchitra, getting immensely complex. Srikant was grappling to maintain a work-life balance, while Suchitra found herself trapped between her family and her desires. There were loads of emotional twists and turns, holding a mirror onto our faces.

As we look forward to the upcoming season, we can expect their relationship to evolve further. What's more interesting is Srikant's kids have grown up now, and both Srikant and Suchitra have also grown old a bit.

Well, let's now wait and see what the upcoming season has to offer!
