The event sees the world's most elite get together to celebrate fashion's most prestigious event - the Met Gala. For this year, the theme was 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion', thereby celebrating the delicate pieces, which are sidelined due to the fast-paced world of fashion.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt made a scintillating appearance on the green carpet, and captivated everyone with her sartorial choice. She dazzled and made heads turn in an exquisite floral Sabyasachi saree in her second appearance at the prestigious event. In 2023, she made her Met Gala debut in a striking ensemble by Prabal Gurung. And this year, her timeless mint green Sabyasachi saree, which featured a long dramatic trail, made everyone talk.
Isha Ambani caught everyone raving about her at the 2024 Met Gala. She decided to wear a couture sari gown by Indian designer Rahul Mishra for the event, and her ensemble featured a stunning long floral train. Anaita Shroff Adajania shared images of Isha's Met Gala look, and detailed how her look was inspired by this year's "The Garden of Time" dress code. The intricate hand-embroidered saree was made in several villages, and provided support to hundreds of local craftspeople and weavers. Isha completed her look with a “clutch crafted by Swadesh using the ancient Indian art forms of Nakashi and Miniature Painting."
Mona Patel, at the Met Gala 2024, wore a mechanical dress inspired by butterflies, styled by Law Roach. As she walked the ramp, her dress fluttered from side to side, and beautifully complemented the theme of 'Time and Nature.' Reportedly, Patel is Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist, originally from Vadodara. She had shifted to the US at a young age to pursue her entrepreneurial ambitions.
Comedian-actress Mindy Kaling wore a stunning champagne-coloured architectural gown designed by Gaurav Gupta. For those caught unaware, Kaling was born on 24 June 1979 and is a daughter of Indian immigrants. As for her outfit, some people found it similar to Aishwarya Rai’s Gaurav's custom-made queen pink sculpted creation, which she wore at Cannes Film Festival in 2022.
Natasha Poonawalla decided to go for a custom-made from Maison Margiela's Artisanal Collection, designed by John Galliano, at the Met Gala. Her white strapless bodycon dress was accentuated with transparent black ripped chiffon, which she paired with a fluffy white cap.
