Limit sun exposure

Stay indoors! Step out only when it's an emergency. Never forget to wear sunglasses and apply sunscreen (of at least 55 SPF) on your skin before stepping out in the sun. Also, if possible, carry an umbrella in your hand.

Stay hydrated

It's a no-brainer that you need to stay fully hydrated throughout the day in the summer. So, drink at least 4-5 liters of water every day. You can also drink other fluids like juices, buttermilk, lassi, etc.

Eat small & light meals

The severe heat during summer takes a toll on your digestive system. So, it is advised to eat small and light meals during the hot season. Avoid heavy meals (especially high protein foods) as they increase your body's metabolic heat production.

Maintain food hygiene

Food poisoning is a common issue in summer. So, make sure to maintain proper food hygiene this season. Rinse all your fruits and vegetables with cold water and dry them with a clean cloth. Also, make sure to cover all dishes, keep your kitchen surface clean, and store leftover foods in a clean and airtight container.

Wear loose and light-colored clothes

Tight clothing restricts airflow, which may make you feel uncomfortable. So, make sure to always wear loose, breathable, and light-colored clothes in summer. Go for cotton or linen clothes as they will help keep your body cool and calm.

Also, avoid black clothes and prefer the white ones.
