Shilpa Shetty's Summer Fitness Regimen

Shilpa is very particular when it comes to her diet in summer. She drinks about two-and-a-half liters of water, and a few glasses of fresh juice, every day. Also, she eats lots of water-based fruits such as melons, mangoes, cucumbers, and more.

The actress has a dedicated day to indulge in all those cheat meals. As she once said in an interview, "When I say I cheat, I really cheat. On Sundays, I give myself a break from everyday food. When you follow a conventional diet plan, the body gets tired of it; and will stop listening to you especially when you wish to lose weight. It’s scientific. Just for a day, you have to go crazy, so that your body doesn’t crave anything. It is important to modify your lifestyle and be happy too."

For a workout in summer, she mostly prefers to do yoga every day. As she revealed, "My workout regimen is very clear. I enjoy doing Yoga and do eight Surya-namaskars every day. I start with vinyasa yoga and do the 12-step Surya-namaskar. I cannot stress the importance of breathing exercises in summer. I also do breathing exercises. And now, I have also started doing a bit of stress management training."
