The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was one of the fieriest editions ever, with teams often surpassing the 250-run mark in the T20 format. From individual hundreds to galore of sixes, the batting prowess of teams left the spectators stunned as it rained balls across all stadiums. As 2025 comes to an end, here’s a recap of the top five highest team totals registered in IPL 2025.

286 vs. RR

In merely the second match of the season, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered 286 runs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) with a run rate of 14.30. Hyderabad lost Abhishek Sharma early, but then Travis Head put his foot on the pedal, hitting 67 runs in 31 balls at a strike rate of 216.12. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan took the game to a different level, registering 106 runs in 47 balls at a strike rate of 225.53. Eventually, SRH won the game by 44 runs.

278 vs. KKR

SRH’s top order was one of the most dangerous top orders in the IPL 2025. Therefore, even the second-highest team total was registered by the Orange Army. Against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Abhishek Sharma started the innings with 32 runs in 16 balls, followed by Travis Head, who added 76 runs in 40 balls. However, Heinrich Klassen grabbed all the headlines after thrashing 105 runs in merely 39 balls at a strike rate of 269.23. KKR faltered at 168 runs, and SRH won the game by 110 runs.

247 vs. PBKS

It is no surprise that the third-highest total of the IPL 2025 also belongs to SRH. In the 27th game of the tourney, Punjab Kings (PBKS) posted a massive target of 245 runs for SRH. Surprisingly, even 245 runs were a walk in the park for SRH, who chased the target at the expense of only two wickets. Travis Head scored 66 runs in 37 balls, but the real deal was Abhishek Sharma, who hit 144 runs in 55 balls at a strike rate of 256.36.

238 vs. KKR

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), in the 21st match of the tournament against KKR, posted a target of 238 runs, thanks to 81 and 87 runs by Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, respectively. In response, KKR almost reached the target but missed it by four runs. Nicholas Pooran was awarded the Player of the Match award.

236 vs. LSG

Punjab Kings, under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer and a new team, found itself in a competitive mode after ages. So much so that the team scored big runs on multiple occasions, including a 236 against LSG, thanks to a whopping 91-run innings in 41 balls by Prabhsimran Singh. Unfortunately, LSG's score was a little too high, and they lost the game by 37 runs.
