IPL 2025 witnessed some of the best bowling figures ever bowled in the tournament’s history

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 concluded with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifting their maiden trophy, their first since 2008. While RCB's win of the trophy was the biggest highlight, there is no doubt that individual performances across the team grabbed headlines throughout the season. The season witnessed several top-notch bowling performances, and as the year comes to an end, let us recap the best bowling figures from IPL bowlers this year.

Mitchell Starc

Playing for the Delhi Capitals this season, Mitchell Starc picked a brilliant fifer in a match versus Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, Hyderabad posted a score of 163 runs despite the fact that Starc picked five wickets in 3.4 overs, but at an economy of 9.54. Starc grabbed the wickets of Travis Head, Aniket Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Wian Mulder, and Harshal Patel. Fortunately, the game went in Delhi’s favour.

Hardik Pandya

Mumbai’s Hardik Pandya registered the second-best bowling figure of the IPL 2025, picking five wickets in four overs, but gave away 36 runs at an economy of nine. In a game against Lucknow Super Giants, Pandya picked the wickets of Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant, David Miller, and Akash Deep. However, despite his wickets, the Super Giants won the game against the Mumbai Indians.

Mohammed Siraj

Gujarat Titans’ Mohammed Siraj scalped four impressive wickets in a match versus Sunrisers Hyderabad. Siraj got out Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, two dangerous batters of Hyderabad who are known for their T20 prowess. He further picked the wickets of Aniket Verma and Simranjeet Singh, helping the rest of the bowlers to contain Hyderabad at a meagre 152 runs. The game went in Titans’ favour.

Noor Ahmad

Playing for the Chennai Super Kings, Noor Ahmad registered the fourth-best bowling figure in the tournament by picking four wickets of the Mumbai Indians in a game. His exact figure was four wickets in four overs, giving away only 18 runs at an economy of 4.50. Players such as Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Robin Minz, and Naman Dhir were shown the exit door by Ahmad. The games also went in Chennai’s favour, not letting Ahmad’s efforts go in vain.

Jasprit Bumrah

The fifth-best bowling figure of IPL 2025 was registered by Mumbai Indians bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He picked four wickets in four overs, giving away 22 runs to register an economy of 5.50. The pacer registered this performance against Lucknow Super Giants, a game that the Mumbai Indians won by 54 runs.
