The Balinese material of wedding attire is a Songket, which is layered with golden threads. The colour of the couple’s ensemble is based on the caste of the family. The wedding ensemble is ofbright colour such as red, orange, blue or yellow. The Songket depicts the social and financial condition of the family, the more luxurious the Songket, the wealthy the family is. Groom is known to wear a headcover tied around his forehead, and the bride wears a crown with glittering and golden embellishments. Japanese wedding attire is all about symbolism and reflection of rich Japanese heritage. The Japanese bride is known to wear the Shiromuku. The Shiromuku has a trailing hem that is called a kakeshita and a white furisodo kimono. The formal kimono is worn by the groom generally lacks colour, much like the western tuxedos.
