If you want to get the taste of Royal India, then you must visit Rajasthan, the land of the Royals.

Let's say that you have managed to get leave for a few days from your HR after a lot of convincing and decided to visit Rajasthan. So, what would you do in Rajasthan? Take out a pen and paper and list out the things that I am saying.

Book yourself a Safari

Head out to see the wildlife that Rajasthan houses. From innocent little birds to fearsome tigers, Rajasthan has it all. There are a lot of national reserves and parks where you can see tigers, elephants, bears, and several kinds of birds up close. The popular places to visit are Sariska Tiger Reserve, Ranthambore National Park, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, and Keoladeo National Park.

Go to a Festival or a Fair

Rajasthan hosts some of the most colorful and vibrant festivals and fairs, and if you end yourself in the state during the time of any of the festivals, then you will surely get mesmerized. The rich culture and heritage of Rajasthan always blossom during the time of festivals and fairs.

Here are some of the festivals that you will find in the state: International Kite Festival in January, Elephant Fair in March, and Pushkar Camel Fair in November.

Witness Vintage Car Rally

The royalness in Rajasthan is not only present in the air, but you can actually see it and feel it in the streets as well. People all over India visit Rajasthan with their royal and luxurious vintage cars in the city of Jaipur, and if you are a car enthusiast, then this is the place to be.

You will find a buffet of vintage cars that will make your heart turn into a 10-year-old kid. This rally takes place once every year in January, so book your dates.

Enjoy Camel Riding

If you visit Rajasthan and don't go for a camel ride, then you have done nothing. It is an exclusive experience that you can have in Rajasthan and take in all of the exquisite views that Rajasthan has to offer. You can have these camel rides in the cities of Pushkar and Jaisalmer. My suggestion is to take the ride just before sunset so that you can enjoy the awesome sunset view of the desert.

I am sure you will find plenty of other things to do in Rajasthan, but these are the top four things on my list.

Escape the Chaos: 5 'Silent Holi' Retreats for the Introvert Soul

Because sometimes the best way to celebrate a festival of colors is by fading completely into the background. You know that impending sense of doom when the neighborhood kids start stocking up on water balloons in late February? Yeah. I feel it too. While the rest of the country is ...
