India and the Netherlands have played only one game against each other, so there’s no history between the two sides
After humiliating PAK in the group stage of the ICC T20 World Cup, India, being an undefeated side, has qualified for the Super 8 stage of the tournament. However, the Men in Blue still need to play one more match that is against the Netherlands – a team with only two points in the pocket and zero chance of proceeding forward in the tourney.

Although there’s no history between the two sides, let us look at the one game played between India and the Netherlands, followed by the Men in Blue’s T20I records at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where the game will take place.
T20 World Cup 2022

Four years ago, in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, India and the Netherlands were also in the same group, because of which they got to play a game against each other. Batting first, the Indian batting line-up had put a score of 179 runs on the board, which included a 51 not out from Suryakumar Yadav. Former T20I players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had scored 53 and 62 runs, respectively.

In response, the Netherlands managed only 123 runs because four Indian bowlers – Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar – grabbed two wickets each to dismantle the European side’s line-up, and win the game by 56 runs.
India’s record
In this venue, India has played only eight T20I games ever, with the first one against PAK in 2012, which the Men in Blue had won. Out of eight matches, India has six games, whereas the team lost on two occasions – both times against England. In fact, out of eight games, India has played five against England, whereas it has played one each against South Africa, New Zealand, and PAK.
