Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon share screen space for the first time in Crew, which is helmed by Rajesh A Krishnan and jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea, Anil Kapoor, and Digvijay Purohit under Balaji Motion Pictures, Anil Kapoor Films and Communication Network. The film has been released in theatres today on March 29. Apart from Tabu, Kareena and Kriti, the film also features Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Rajesh Sharma and Saswata Chatterjee, and features the leading trio as air hostesses for the fictional Kohinoor Airlines while Diljit plays a police officer.
The trailer of the film was enough to showcase that the three ladies play the roles of "bad**" air hostesses. They are ready to impress their audience with the glam quotient as they take us all on the madcap adventurous ride once they find a passenger hiding gold plates under his shirt. The film’s songs, Naina and Ghagra, have already become a rage with the listeners. According to the official synopsis, Crew is about these women whose destiny leads them to some unexpected and unwarranted situations.
While we look forward to seeing them on the silver screen, do you know that the film’s director actually marked his directorial debut with Lootcase and has only helmed one film prior to this? Rajesh A Krishnan, the Crew filmmaker, is also a screenwriter, and producer, mostly known for his work on various humor-based television commercials. He forayed into the OTT space by directing Tripling, which was created by The Viral Fever. In 2020, he co-wrote and directed Kunal Kemmu starrer Lootcase.

TVF Tripling, a drama web series created by The Viral Fever, was developed by Sameer Saxena and written by Akarsh Khurana and Sumeet Vyas. It was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, and featured Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar in lead roles, and also Kunaal Roy Kapur, Nidhi Bisht, Kumud Mishra, and Shernaz Patel. It was based on the lives of three siblings, who get together for a trip and eventually, find themselves and their relations. TVF Tripling: Season 1 premiered on TVF Play and on YouTube, from 7 September 2016, with five consecutive episodes aired every week. It was considered as the best web-series of 2016, and was renewed for a second season with Sameer Saxena replacing Rajesh A Krishnan as the series director. The show had a third season as well, directed by Neeraj Udhwani.
Lootcase was a 2020 black comedy crime film directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, of TVF Tripling fame. The film marked his directorial debut, and it was produced by Fox Star Studios. It starred Kunal Kemmu and Rasika Dugal in lead roles, along with Vijay Raaz, Ranvir Shorey and Gajraj Rao in key roles. It revolves around a red coloured suitcase, and was released in July 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar. The film was loved by the audience.
