These stars saw success right in their first feature film.

Getting a place in the top tier of Bollywood needs talent, hard work and connections. While few toils with obscurity for years, there are some who has had instant success overnight with their debut. Some good-fashioned luck, some brilliant script, cinematic procedure and marvellous acting, the right surname – all collaborate for debut actors to make them an overnight sensation.

Here is a rundown of all names that marked their brilliance with their debut.

  1. Anushka Sharma – Sharma’s debut was alongside SRK in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi where she portrayed a married woman with a passion for dancing. Needless to say, Sharma has been brilliant from the debut as she played this role to perfection. Today, she is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood.
  2. King Khan – Shah Rukh Khan made his debut with Deewana and has been living in the hearts of people since 1992. SRK has worked with big names of Bollywood then and made it big after working for TV shows. A self-made man of Bollywood, he tops the list.
  3. Ranveer Singh – With Band Baaja Baarat, Ranveer Singh became Bittu Singh alongside Anushka Sharma’s vibrant character and boy, were they brilliant! There have been no speed-breakers for Singh after that and his popularity is still on the rise.
  4. Alia Bhatt – Agreed, Student of the Year has not been much of a good look for Alia Bhatt, but she has since managed to give stellar performances in Udta Punjab, Highway alongside other brilliant actors. If you haven’t watched Raazi yet, watch it for Bhatt’s yet another marvellous acting.
  5. Hrithik Roshan – Everyone was gaga over Hrithik Roshan’s double personas in Kaho naa Pyar Hai. His acting, dance moves had us all floored and he has only grown better after that. An instant hit of the movie made him the star he is today.
  6. Deepika Padukone – Alongside SRK, Deepika Padukone made her debut in Om Shanti Om. The movie was a smash hit with Padukone the freshest face with the best of the future. We can all tell how much she has grown since then and is an unstoppable force.
  7. Vicky KaushalMasaan gave Vicky Kaushal the stardom he truly deserved. As an underprivileged boy in love with a woman way above his social status, Kaushal’s expressive eyes and hammering speech deliverance is beyond reproach. The debut earned him countless awards. He also played an unhinged immoral cop in Raman Raghav 2.0.
