Jagaddhatri Puja in Chandannagar

Besides historical significance, the town of Chandannagar is also famous for being the hub of Jagaddhatri (an aspect of the Hindu goddess Parvati) Puja in Bengal.

The Puja is held after Durga Puja and Kali Puja, in October - November.

During the festival, each corner of Chandannagar gets decorated with lights and colors. It looks straight out of a fairytale, attracting people from all across the nation.
