Wicket-keepers with most dismissals in T20Is

MS Dhoni, who bid adieu to international cricket on August 15, 2020, is the wicket-keeper with the most dismissals in T20 Internationals.

MS Dhoni

Dhoni represented India in T20 Internationals between 2006 and 2019, playing 98 matches. He also famously captained India to their T20 World Cup triumph in the inaugural edition of the competition.

Dhoni has 91 dismissals from 98 matches which include 57 catches and 34 stumpings. His best performance as a wicketkeeper was when he grabbed 5 catches in a single match. He has an average of 0.938 dismissal per innings.

Denesh Ramdin

At the second place is West Indies' Denesh Ramdin who has 63 dismissals from 71 matches. The Caribbean wicket keeper has 43 catches and 20 stumpings to his name with his best performance being four dismissals, all of them coming by way of catches.

Ramdin made his T20I debut in 2006 and has maintained an average of 0.887 dismissal per innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim

Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim has the third most dismissals to his name when it comes to the most successful wicket keepers in T20 Internationals. Rahim played his first T20I in 2006 and is still a big part of the Bangladesh setup.

From 86 matches, Rahim has over 60 dismissals which include 32 catches and 29 stumpings. His best outing in a T20 match was when he finished with three dismissals which included one catch and two stumpings. Rahim has an average of 0.762 dismissal per innings.

Kamran Akmal

At the fourth place in the list of wicket keepers with most dismissals in T20 Internationals is Kamran Akmal who is no longer in contention for a spot in the Pakistan International setup.

Akmal played his last T20 International in 2017 after making his debut in 2006. From 58 matches, the Pakistan wicket keeper has 60 dismissals which include 28 catches and 32 stumpings. He has one of the best average dismissal records per innings at 1.132.

Mohammad Shahzad

Mohammad Shahzad is the fifth most successful wicketkeeper in T20 Internationals. The Afghanistan wicket keeper represented the country between 2010 and 2018 during which time he played 65 matches.

Shahzad has 54 dismissals from 64 innings including 26 catches and 28 stumpings. His best outing was when he returned with five dismissals including 3 catches and 2 stumpings. His average dismissal per innings stands at 0.843.

The other leading wicket keepers in T20 Internationals include South Africa's Quinton de Kock, Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara and Pakistan's Sarfaraz Ahmed.
