The skin around your eyes requires special care because it is more fragile. Improper care could cause your eyes to go dry. They  could also look tired and dull due to a host of factors like too much caffeine, insufficient sleep, pollution, and eye makeup. Here are some natural home remedies that could help tackle dry skin around the eyes.

  1. Aloe vera gel

There is a reason aloe vera is in many skincare products. For one, it is super hydrating. It also works to moisturize the skin. Another key point is that it has been found to promote collagen production by stimulating fibroblasts. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. More importantly, it can help to tackle dry skin around the eyes. Apply a tablespoon of aloe vera gel around the area and leave it on overnight.

Almond oil can help to treat dry skin. It has also been found to help manage eczema and psoriasis. All you need is a few drops of the oil and gently massage it on the skin. Leave it on overnight before you wash it off with water. Use it regularly to get the most out of it. However, you should try other options if you are allergic to oil in general.

Green tea contains rejuvenating properties. Applying green tea bags on your skin may help to reduce puffiness and dryness in the area around your eyes. Steep a couple of green tea bags in hot water just for a few minutes. Next, take them out of the pot and allow it to cool down before you place them on your eyelids. Leave it on for 20 minutes maximum. Do not leave on for longer than that.  Once the time is up, wash your face with cool water. Do this process just before you go to sleep. It may also help you get a good night’s sleep.
