Yamaha’s new chairman Chihana, replaces MotofumiShitara who held the chairman’s office since 2018

One of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the world, Yamaha has appointed EishinChihana as the new chairman of Yamaha Motor India. Before Chihana, the position was held by MotofumiShitara who held the office since 2018. Chihana has worked with the two-wheeler maker since 1991 and in the years to come, the outstanding personality is likely to take Yamaha to greater heights in India.

Not to forget, the new chairman has also handled motorcycle operations in the European, North American, African, Middle Eastern and ASEAN markets.

Recent products from Yamaha in India

Before the end of 2021, Yamaha impressed the market with its brand new R15M and R15 V4. For years, moto-enthusiasts have been waiting for the fourth generation of the R15. The new models offer sublime performance and premium hardware without burning a hole in the pocket, unlike the KTM RC 125. Not to forget, the company also surprised the Indian scooter users with the Aerox 155 super sporty scooter.  

Models on offer at the moment

At present, Yamaha offers several motorcycles in the country such as R15M, R15 V, R15S, R15, MT-15 CYW, MT-15, FZS 25, FZ 25, FZ-X, FZS-FI and FZ-F1. Last but not the least, in the scooter segment, Fascino 125, RayZR 125 and Aerox 155 are on sale from Yamaha Motor India.
