How I Met Your Mother - is an American sitcom that ran for nine seasons and 208 episodes. It is a story where Ted Mosby, an architect, narrates the story of how he met the mother of his children. Ted, and his friends- Marshal, Lily, Barney and Robin, shared a beautiful and more eventful journey in the long run. Their ups and downs, childish pranks, slap bets, togetherness and friendship- kept us going till the final episode.
The success of the show is much appreciated. Therefore, each character has built themselves a loyal fanbase that showers love till today. However, Barney Stinson, out of the five fantastic characters, happens to be the most popular among the audience. He was a good friend.
When Marshal and Lily broke up, Barney took the initiative to bring those two back together. It was after Lily decided to follow her ambition as an artist and moved to San Francisco. Marshal was terrible. Hence, Barney stood up. He kept on ruining Marshal’s dates by impressing the girls for himself. Also, he rushed to San Francisco and talked to Lily about how she and Marshal belong together.
As an architect, Ted always dreamt about building a skyscraper in New York City. Therefore, Barney helped him live his dream. When the Goliath National Bank (GNB) came up with a proposal for building their new headquarters, Barney immediately recommended Ted as the best man in the business. Later, we learn that Stinson put his career at stake to get Ted the contract for designing a skyscraper.
When Robin was running out of time to retain her stay in the USA, Barney helped her find a job as a reporter for a renowned news channel. We know that Robin was a Canadian citizen living on her work visa. Therefore, she had to move back to Canada. Barney Stinson couldn’t let this happen. Hence, he helped her find a more suitable job to retain her stay.
Barney came up with ‘Stinson’s hangover fixer elixir’ to help his friends recover from their lives’ worst hangover. It was until the last season everyone realized that Barney was a true friend. He invented this special drink for his friends to overcome the crises situation. Although there was no secret ingredient, everyone would feel better after taking a sip. Stinson’s hangover fixer elixir worked like magic because his friends would subconsciously realize that life has many more to offer.
