Raveena Tandon picks Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Sara Ali Khan to reprise iconic 'Andaz Apna Apna' characters

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor. The comedy, which was not a box office success at the time of its release, gained a cult following after several years.

Now, in a recent conversation, Raveena revealed her pick of actors that can successfully portray the iconic characters from the cult classic film, in her opinion. She chose Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Sara Ali Khan as the actors who could take the legacy forward, if given the chance, and could play Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Karisma Kapoor in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ respectively.

When Raveena was asked about that, she said, "Anyone. That would depend on the producer's choice." However, she added, "Okay, Ranbir for Aamir's role and Ranveer Singh for Salman." She then quipped, "Sara Ali Khan would be damn good for that; she has the zing and spunk that role requires."

Well, that is a trio that the audience would certainly love to see.

Interestingly, a couple of months ago, Raveena went down the memory lane and recalled some moments while shooting for the comedy film with Aamir Khan. During an episode of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', Raveena revealed how Aamir played a hilarious prank on her during 'Andaz Apna Apna' shoot and how she got back at him.

She said, "I still remember, Aamir and I were shooting on a horse carriage for Andaz Apna Apna. It was a really fun sequence, however, little did I know that the whole unit along with Aamir is planning to pull a prank on me. We were sitting inside the carriage and Aamir was standing behind me while I was getting my makeup done. He asked for a cup of tea and suddenly, I saw this hot cup of tea falling from his hand and coming in my direction. I got scared and I immediately tried to duck, only to realise that it was a prank. The cup was empty, and it was tied to the plate through a thread."

Meanwhile, despite numerous reports indicating that ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ is on the cards, filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has time and again clarified that there are no plans of the sequel of the comedy flick.
