On This Day - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Wedding Anniversary: Here's How They are Earning After Exiting from Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love life has made many headlines over the years.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) met in 2016 and started dating shortly after. The couple tied the knot in 2018, and ever since then, their love life has often been a topic of discussion.

The couple stepped down from royal duties in 2020 to become “financially independent". Harry remained a Prince, and the couple kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. But Harry gave up his military titles, and the couple is no longer addressed as His/Her Royal Highness.

Speaking about their decision to leave the Royal Family, the couple said in a statement, "We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the royal family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support her majesty the Queen. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to the queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages."

Today, on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding anniversary, let's learn how they're earning these days.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Sources of Income

Harry said in an interview that they stopped receiving any financial support from the royal family in 2020.

But the couple has found several ways to make a living.

Harry and Meghan founded the Archewell Productions, which now serves as the main source of their income. The company is partnered with Netflix and makes lots of different programs (including the recent Harry & Meghan documentary series) worth millions of dollars. It also makes podcasts for Spotify.

Both Harry and Meghan have earned lots of money from writing books. For his memoir 'Spare', Harry was reportedly paid around $20 million. Meghan, on the other hand, wrote a book titled 'The Bench' in 2021.

Besides, Harry now also serves as a chief impact officer at mental health firm BetterUp.
