Mahesh Babu At Madame Tussauds

Back in 2018, Mahesh Babu became the first Telugu actor to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Sharing the news on Twitter, the superstar wrote, "Super happy to be a part of the prestigious Madame Tussauds :) :) Thanks to the team of artists for their attention to detail. Incredible!”

He unveiled his statue at his theatre premises, AMB Cinemas, in a grand event on March 25, 2019. It was later taken back to the Madame Tussauds Museum in Singapore.

The 'Bharat Ane Nenu' actor revealed in an interview that the inspiration behind the statue was his look in the film 'Srimanthudu'. He said, "There was about a half-hour brainstorming and they liked a particular image from one of my films. It was Srimanthudu, which was really popular. We thought it would be amazing and went ahead with that."

Speaking about the honor, he said, "It feels amazing, without doubt. It’s a great feeling and I think it bodes well for our film industry; it places us on the global map."
