Neuralink's First Patient Shows Promising Results: Best Sci-fi Movies With Cognitive Enhancement Technology

Elon Musk’s neuroscience startup Neuralink has performed brain chip implantation im human patient in Jan, 2024.

Now, Neuralink on microblogging platform X, shared the video of the patient, 29-year-old Noland Arbaugh, a quadriplegic patient, where he was playing chess on computer through thinking only.

This wonderful technology can help people improving their memory, focus, and attention by allowing them to properly train their brain using real-time biofeedback data assisted with other advanced techniques. In Musk’s words, the ‘Link’ is a sort of “Fitbit in your skull” with “all the sensors you’d expect to see in a smartwatch.”

The overall concept of brain computer intercept (BCI) has been recreated in multiple times in sci-fi movies.
