However, the elaborate henna tattoo covering her shaved head was what everyone noticed the most. At the premiere of filmmaker Mira Nair's musical adaptation of the acclaimed movie Monsoon Wedding, Lupita's eye-catching appearance was on display. Lupita confirms once again that she is not just a gifted actor but also a fashion trailblazer with her impressive wardrobe choices.

Lupita Nyong'o also thanked Misha Japanwala, the fashion designer who loaned her the saree, and Sabeena, a self-taught New York henna artist who created the tattoo, in addition to congratulating filmmaker Mira Nair on her musical Monsoon Wedding.
