The makers of 'KFG' announced a new film titled 'Dhoomam' starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.

Hombale Films took to their Twitter handle to release the first poster of the film.

They wrote, "What you sow, so shall you reap.

Vijay Kiragandur's statement

Speaking about the film, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Film, said: "'Dhoomam' is based on a new concept. And we are going to see and witness Fahadh in a new and massive role. We certainly feel that the amalgamation of the biggest actors together can create and weave magic together."

About the film

‘Dhoomam’ marks the second release from the production house in the Malayalam film industry, after the grand announcement of ‘Tyson’ earlier.

The film will be helmed by Pawan Kumar who has previously directed ‘Lucia’ and ‘U-Turn'.

It will also star actress Aparna Balamurali as the female lead.

The film's shooting is set to begin on October 9 and will be released in 4 languages Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.

The music for the film will be done by Poornachandra Tejaswi, while cinematography will be handled by Preetha Jayaraman.

It's scheduled to have its theatrical release in the summer of 2023.

A look at Fahadh Faasil's career

Considered among the best actors in India, Fahadh Faasil predominantly works in Malayalam cinema and has appeared in a few Tamil and Telugu films.

Fahadh began his film career at the age of 19 with the 2002 romantic film 'Kaiyethum Doorath'.

He has acted in several critically hit as well as commercially successful films namely '22 Female Kottayam', 'Annayum Rasoolum', 'Amen', 'North 24 Kaatham', 'Bangalore Days', 'Maheshinte Prathikaaram', 'Malik', 'Joji', 'Varathan', 'Njan Prakashan', 'Trance', and more.

He is a recipient of various accolades, including a National Film Award, four Kerala State Film Awards, and three Filmfare Awards South.
