Yes, the 'lady superstar' recently announced her upcoming film, 'Bangaram', which also marks her debut as a producer. She unveiled the first-look poster of the upcoming film, in which she can be seen in a fierce look. While more details about the film are currently under wraps, it's going to be a treat for her fans for sure!

Debut Film - Ye Maaya Chesave (2010)

It all began in 2010 when Samantha, at the age of 23, made her debut with 'Ye Maaya Chesave'.

Helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the romantic drama film starred Samantha alongside Naga Chaitanya and emerged as a huge critical and commercial success. Several critics praised her as a "scene-stealer", calling her "the girl to watch out for". Jeevi from Idlebrain.com wrote "Samantha's debut is one of the best heroine debuts in Telugu cinema" adding "The minute expressions she gave spoke volumes about her".

For her performance in 'Ye Maaya Chesave', Samantha received her first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South and the Nandi Special Jury Award.

Further Success

Samantha next starred in the romance drama, 'Baana Kaathadi', opposite Adharvaa, and received further acclaim. She went on to feature in several successful films along the way, such as 'Moscowin Kavery', 'Brindaavanam', 'Dookudu', 'Nadunisi Naaygal', 'Eega', 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', and 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' among others.

Whether it's 'Manam', 'Alludu Seenu', 'Kaththi', 'S/O Satyamurthy', 'Thanga Magan', 'Theri', 'Mersal', 'Mahanati', or 'Rangasthalam' - she achieved unprecedented success with these films, becoming a pan-India star. In 2021, she made her foray into the OTT world with the second season of Amazon Prime Video's 'The Family Man'. Her performance earned her enormous critical acclaim, winning her the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
