When you are finding yourself, you are learning your best moves and developing your distinctive dance styles. People who found themselves while dancing eventually discovered new dance forms that spread around the world and were used for celebration and leisure. Let’s learn about different types of dance styles through which you can express your emotions.

Tinikling

A well-known and traditional folk dance from the Philippines is the Tinikling dance. It was created during the period of Spanish colonization. Bamboo is used to perform this dance. In synchronization with one or more dancers who step over and inside the poles while dancing, two persons tap, beat, and slide bamboo poles over the ground. It is typically danced to a musical style known as rondalla. People enjoy dancing and find it to be enjoyable.

Bollywood dance

The dance style known as “Bollywood dancing” is featured in Indian movies. One of the best dance styles is this one. It combines a variety of dance forms and it encompasses hip-hop, modern jazz, belly dancing, Indian folk, Indian classical and even Western sensual dancing. But these days, this dance style is not just associated with Bollywood; you will find people shaking their legs to Bollywood music all over the world.

Kathak

One of the main styles of Indian classical dance is Kathak. It translates to storyteller as you can see how someone who does Kathak uses their fingers, gestures, postures and attitudes to dance while telling a story. But what kind of stories do they tell? These storytellers relayed tales from legendary epics and prehistoric mythology. In the courts of North Indian kings, the Hindu god Krishna's childhood tales are told.

Tango

This dance is done in pairs and various regions of Argentina and Uruguay in the 1880s, it first appeared. It combines the waltz, mazurka, polka and other dances, it first appeared in Argentina and then spread over the world.

Ballroom

Any partner dance that is performed socially and competitively across the globe is considered ballroom. It comes in different types and subtypes like rumba, tango, samba, salsa and many more.
