Twitter’s new CEO
Amidst recent developments, Elon Musk’s forthcoming departure from the position of CEO at Twitter has garnered significant attention. Confirming the news, Musk announced that Linda Yaccarino, formerly associated with NBC, will assume the CEO responsibilities in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, Musk will retain his leadership role in product design and new technology, while Yaccarino will primarily oversee business operations, emphasizing a division of responsibilities within the company’s top leadership.
During an interview, Yaccarino, who has worked at NBC Universal for 20 years, requested that Musk stop tweeting after 3 a.m. in 2022.
In response to Musk’s tweet extending a welcome in her new role, Linda Yaccarino expressed her inspiration from him and her enthusiasm to contribute to the transformation of Twitter. She stated, “I’ve long been inspired by your vision to create a brighter future. I’m excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together!”
In a separate tweet, Yaccarino acknowledged that she may not be as active as Musk on the platform yet, but she is dedicated to building Musk’s envisioned Twitter 2.0.
“I see I have some new followers, I’m not as prolific as @elonmusk (yet!), but I’m just as committed to the future of this platform. Your feedback is VITAL to that future. I’m here for all of it. Let’s keep the conversation going and build Twitter 2.0 together,” her tweet read.
With the appointment of a new CEO at Twitter, Elon Musk expressed his enthusiasm, stating that it would provide him the opportunity to dedicate more time to Tesla. In a tweet, he mentioned, “Obviously, bringing on Linda allows me to devote more time to Tesla, which is exactly what I will be doing.”
