Ducati Hits a Record Revenue of One Billion Euros

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer is racking up serious numbers despite being a premium and expensive motorcycle brand.

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has surpassed the one million euros revenue mark in the financial year 2022, the company’s first time since its formation in 1926.

Ducati, despite being a premium and expensive motorcycle manufacturer, is racking up serious numbers, which not only shows how good they are as a brand but also the fact that people nowadays are more interested in purchasing high-end motorcycles.

Growth

Compared to 2021’s 878 million euros, in 2022, Ducati has registered a growth of 24 per cent with its record revenue of 1,089,000,000 euros. In 2021, the maker’s operating profit figures were 61 million euros, which has registered growth of 77 per cent in 2022, i.e., 109 million euros.

The company’s profitability range has also entered the double-digit mark and is around 10 to 11 per cent. Not to forget, in terms of sales figures, the company also created a record in 2022 by selling 61,562 motorcycles.

That’s not all, because even Ducati’s racing department enjoyed immense success in 2022, winning titles in MotoGP and World Super Bike.

Company’s statement

"For the first time in our history, we passed the 60,000-bikes mark and we overtook 1 billion euros in revenue. This establishes 2022 as the best year ever for Ducati in several aspects, starting from the great sales and financial performance to the successes in MotoGP and WorldSBK."

"We are on a positive trend that in the last years has seen Ducati grow and establish itself as an increasingly solid company. As a brand that is an expression of Made in Italy, innovation, design and technology, we keep our focus on delivering exciting experiences on and off motorcycles to passionate Ducatisti all over the world," said Claudio Domenicali, CEO Ducati.

"I am glad that for the second year in a row we are able to announce a record financial performance and a growth in the profitability level for Ducati. Reaching such results despite the supply chain disruption that has heavily affected the automotive sector during the course of 2022 is a remarkable achievement of the whole Ducati Group. We were also able to pursue the self-financed investments plan in R&D, infrastructures and digitalization that was in our agenda for 2022," added Henning Jens, Ducati’s CFO.
