Once all three RAPIDX corridors are completed, an operation control center, stabling yard, and warehouse will be established at Jangpura RAPIDX station. The 82-kilometer Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, encompassing 25 stations, is projected to be fully operational by 2025.

RAPIDX Corridor: Delhi to Meerut in Under an Hour

Indeed, the Delhi section of the RAPIDX corridor, consisting of three stations, is anticipated to become operational prior to the completion of the entire corridor. While the construction of the section beyond the priority section, extending towards Meerut, is still underway, it is expected to be completed as per the established schedule.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has stated that in just two years, commuters will be able to travel from Delhi to Meerut in less than an hour using the RAPIDX system. This high-speed train service will link suburban areas such as Ghaziabad, Modinagar, and Meerut to Delhi, offering passengers a comfortable and air-conditioned travel experience.

RAPIDX Trains to Utilize Regenerative Braking, Paving the Way for Environmentally Friendly Commute

The RAPIDX trains will incorporate regenerative braking technology, which helps conserve energy and makes them environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. This initiative is expected to result in a reduction of approximately 250,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, contributing to a greener and more sustainable transportation system.

All the upcoming stations along the RAPIDX corridor will be equipped with modern facilities to enhance the commuting experience for passengers. These facilities will include escalators, lifts, and automatic fare collection systems, ensuring convenience and ease of access for commuters.

With its efficient connectivity and improved services, the entire RAPIDX corridor is projected to attract a daily ridership of approximately 8 lakh passengers. The high-speed train system is designed to accommodate the growing transportation needs of the region, providing a reliable and efficient mode of travel for a significant number of commuters on a daily basis.
