According to the Independent, Carrie Johnson, aged 35, is a British media consultant who previously worked as a media official for the Conservative Party. She is also a senior adviser to Oceana, an ocean conservation charity.

Boris Johnson and Carrie Johnson got married in May 2021. They already have two children together, three-year-old Wilf and two-year-old Romy. Wilf was born in April 2020, while Romy was born in December 2021. This will be their third child as a couple.

This is the first time the couple is expecting a child while not residing in Downing Street. They left the prime minister's residence in September 2021 after Boris Johnson's tenure ended.

If the new arrival is born, it will be Boris Johnson's eighth child. He has four children from his previous marriage to Marina Wheeler, and he has one more child from an affair with art consultant Helen Macintyre, as reported by the BBC. However, the exact number of children has not been officially confirmed by him. Boris Johnson does not have any children with his first wife, Allegra Mostyn-Owen.

The announcement of the pregnancy comes shortly after Boris Johnson purchased a nine-bedroom mansion with a three-sided moat in Oxfordshire, valued at 3.8 million pounds, according to the Guardian.
