Air India Upgrades Travel Experience With Expanded Lounge Access Across Domestic and International Networks

With its unwavering dedication to providing a world-class travel experience, Air India continues to soar to new heights, captivating the hearts of its premium clients across the globe.

The lounge services are exclusively available to guests travelling in First or Business Class, eligible members of Air India's frequent flyer programme, 'Flying Returns', and those from other 'Star Alliance' member airlines. Air India proudly offers its signature lounges at two prominent locations: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3) and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. These signature lounges epitomise luxury and comfort for discerning travellers.

Increased lounge access in domestic airports

Previously, Air India had lounge network access at 16 airports in India. Now, it has elevated the premium travel experience with an expanded lounge network across 26 Indian airports.

The airline has established strategic relationships with airport lounges in Dibrugarh, Indore, Jammu, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Nagpur, Patna, Srinagar, and Vadodara.

This initiative is part of its ambitious 5-year transformation strategy, Vihaan.AI.

Furthermore, the airline has deliberately partnered with top-grade food courts at 11 Indian airports where dedicated lounges were unavailable. This step also ensured that Air India's premium passengers could enjoy the best services at lounges or food courts at 37 airports across India.

Increased facilities in international airports

Air India has also partnered with the finest lounges at different international airports. Through this, it has achieved 100 per cent lounge access coverage for its elite passengers in 41 international airports.

"Passengers can now enjoy the Swissport Lounge at Chicago, the SAS Lounge at New York-Newark Liberty, and Japan Airlines' Sakura Lounge at Tokyo Narita. In addition, Air India has transitioned to the Singapore Airlines' SilverKris Lounge in Bangkok and the Balaka Executive Lounge at Dhaka airports, further enriching the premium travel experience," according to Air India officials.
