Every year we come up with a lengthy list of New Year’s resolutions and hope that our lives change for the better. But the hardest part is following through. How do you change your life with minimal effort? Well, all you gotta do is take one step at a time. Just take it slowly, go with the flow. Here are a few tips to follow these five life changing micro habits that will turn your life absolutely around.

Journaling: This one has never ever failed! Our mind is a chaotic machine, unless we put conscious effort into sorting all the chaotic thoughts, the scene never changes and we get stuck into the monotony of dullness! And that’s where journaling comes handy. Once we make a habit out of it, it becomes our own little personal assistant. I make it a point, every day, after waking up to clear my mind as I write the thoughts that linger on. It can be the dreams that I wake up from, or even the first thoughts that come to my mind after waking up!  Writing all our thoughts out clears all the clutter and makes us conscious about the things that worry us on a subconscious level.

Moving your body: Every hour we need to move our bodies to get our blood circulation up and running, and get us into a positive mood. Especially with the routines that we live by nowadays we are bound to get stuck in a stagnant routine. Most of us are stuck in a desk job and even those who have the scope of physical labor are worried most of the time and stressed out to even focus on our bodily movements. It’s important for us to move our bodies every hour, being fully aware and focusing on the movements. It could be as simple as shaking your body a bit or simple dancing to some tunes. But just that much movement can lift our spirits and change the entire mood.

Drinking water every hour: Water has such a purifying effect on our bodies. We need to drink a lot of water and more often than not, we tend to forget it. With a little effort we can change that. Drinking water, even half a glass, every hour can change our entire mood and get our minds more active and aware about our surroundings.
