ViratKohli's struggles against Adil Rashid

ViratKohli's returns in the T20 series vs Rashid are as follows: 32 balls | Two dismissals | SR 71.9 Even the greatest of batsmen have some or the other chink in their armour and ViratKohli is no exception. Kohli is not at his best against wrist spinners which has been seen on various occasions, both in international cricket and in the IPL. On the England tour of India in 2021, ViratKohli had his struggles against Adil Rashid, particularly against his well disguised googly. As a result, he could manage runs at a strike rate of just over 70 from the 32 balls he faced of the leg spinner in the T20 Series while getting dismissed twice. This was the reason why he was extremely cautious against Adil Rashid in the final match of the T20I series when he came out to open the batting with Rohit Sharma. Kohli treated Rashid with respect and milked singles off his bowling. On the contrary, he was punishing of the other bowlers and finally finished with an unbeaten 80 from 52 deliveries including 7 fours and 2 sixes, scoring his runs at a strike rate of 153.85. As he grew in confidence, he took on Rashid a couple of times as well. What came out of it was that Kohli was applying himself a lot harder against Rashid, realising the threat that the leg spinner posed to him, and ultimately conquered the challenge. ViratKohli's returns in the T20 series vs other bowlers are as follows: 125 balls | No dismissals | SR 166.4 He was at his dominating best against all the other bowlers in the series, be it Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan or Sam Curran. As a result, he scored against them at a strike rate of well over 160 from the 125 balls he faced, without getting dismissed even on a single occasion. Kohli returned unbeaten on three out of the five innings in the 5 match T20I series. He was dismissed early two times when he recorded low scores of 0 and 1, but once said he was set, he turned out to be a real force to reckon with and did not give away his wicket.
