Almond Danish Cookies
Makes 17-18 pieces
All-purpose flour………………….. 80 g
Granulated sugar…………………..60 g
Almond powder…………………….18 g
Baking powder……………………..1/4 tsp
Salt………………………………………1/8 tsp
Unsalted butter
(Cut into 1.5 cm cubes) ……………60 g
Egg ……………………………………….20 g
Milk ………………………………………1/2tsp
Vanilla extract…………………………1/2 tsp
Almond, finely chopped…………… 25 g
That’s about all you need to make your cookie. Now here’s a step-by-step recipe.
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200℃
Step 2: Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Step 3: Put in all the ingredients, flour,sugar, almond powder,baking powder, and add salt to tase and mix them into a bowl and then add butter.
Step 4: The more you mix slowly, the mixture will start to resemble bread crumbs.
Step 5: Put in egg, milk, and vanilla in the bowl where you have mixture ready and then whip it up properly until the dough forms.
Step 6: You have chopped almonds and now you ned to put them into the bowl.
Step 7: Let the chopped almonds spread evenly into the dough.
Step 8: Now put the mixture you have in your bowl into a piping bag that fits a 1 centimetre’s nozzle.
Step 9: Roll the pipe into 4.5 centimetres to 5 centimetres round shaped cookie, you will get around 17-18 pieces.
Step 10: Bake it in a 200℃ preheated oven for 10-12 minutes and then remove the cookies from the oven and let it cool off in the baking sheet, once that happens, you have your oven-fresh Almond Danish cookies ready.
