Times non-Asian team won five Tests in a row in Asian country

Australia did not lose a single test match in Sri Lanka between 2002 and 2011, registering a 5-match winning streak in the country. Australia in Sri Lanka 2002-2011

Australia's winning streak began when they beat Pakistan at Colombo in October 2002. This was one of the few times that a neutral venue hosted a test match, apart from Pakistan's matches held in the UAE. Australia won that match by 41 runs.

They came back to the country for a test series against Sri Lanka in 2004. The team started the three-match test series on a positive note with the 197-run victory over the opponents at Galle.

The second match of the series was a close affair which Australia won by 27 runs. Australia clean swept the series 3-0 by winning the third and the last match of the series by 121 runs at Colombo.

When they toured Sri Lanka in 2011, Australia registered another victory by 125 runs at Galle to complete their five match winning streak in Sri Lanka, becoming one of only three non Asian teams to win five consecutive test matches in an Asian country.

England in Bangladesh 2003-2016

England did not lose a single test match in Bangladesh between 2003 and 2016. Their streak started against Bangladesh in Dhaka in October 2003 when the team won by 7 wickets.

In the following test match, England registered another victory by 329 runs at Chattogram. England were back in Sri Lanka for a two match series in 2010. The visitors won the first match of the series by 181 runs. The team then galloped to a 9-wicket victory in the second test match to take the series 2-0.

They played another test match in Bangladesh six years later in October 2016 which was a close affair but the team was successful in getting over the line by 22 runs.

England in Sri Lanka 2012-2021

With England having registered victories in the last 6 test matches in Sri Lanka, the streak still stands unbeaten. After winning the last test match on their tour of Sri Lanka in 2012, the team clean swept the three match series in 2018.

After the test series in 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, England won both the matches of the test series against Sri Lanka in 2021 to take their unbeaten streak to 6.
