Things that were once banned from the White House

The big bosses of the United States have been very picky about what should be allowed and what should be banned in the White House. One of the most visited homes in the United States of America, it is regal in every sense of the word. Through the decades and centuries, the White House has seen it all. May it be structural damage, renovations and even fire, it has strongly held on for many years. The first president to walk on the grounds of the White House was John Adams in the year 1800, and since then-White House has seen a long list of occupants, their illustrious reigns and eventual departure. Apart from giving birth to many new traditions, these long lists of Head of Statealso dictated certain restrictions. What were they? Let’s find out. Cell phones During President Trump’s administration, both staff and guests were not allowed to use and even take with their cell phones at work, especially in the West Wing. The reason behind this was security concerns and a way of cutting down devices that would be connected to the White House’s Wi-Fi. On the contrary, staff was supposed to use the official phone that could not even text. This practice left many of the staff members unhappy. Concerts In the time, when even the staff and insiders were not allowed to use amobile phones, it is very difficult to imagine that once all the residents of Washington D.C were allowed to gather freely for a concert, especially in South Lawns. From 1842 to 1930, United States Marine Band to give a stellar performance, every Saturday afternoon starting from June to September. This tradition continued for many years except for one year when President Lincoln and his wife Mary insisted that band must skip performing because of President’s son’s death, who was just eleven. Jeans Presidents through the years have loved and even donned a nice, comfortable pair of jeans. When George W. Bush took over as the President of The United States in the year 2001, one of his first orders was to follow the dress code in theoval office and ban anyone who comes to the office wearing denim.  Balloons Many things such as aerosols, knives and fireworks are banned in the White House. Another thing that is banned in the White House is balloons. What security a simple balloon was breaching, nobody is quite sure. So, which one have surprised you the most?
