T-Series Accuses Hera Pheri 3 Makers For Not Taking Legal Rights of The Music of Previous Films

The movies will see the reunion of the original cast members from the first two movies.

Hera Pheri 3 has grabbed the headlines again! However, this time the cause might not be for good reasons. T-Series, the popular music production house, has served legal notice to the makers of the upcoming sequel. They accused the Hera Pheri makers of still having not acquired the rights to the musical intellectual property of the original film.

According to a Trade Magazine, the excerpt from the notice read, "Notice is hereby given to the public in general and film trade in particular that Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (T-Series)is the sole and absolute owner of copyright in relation to the music and audio visual songs i.e. Master Sound Recordings, Literary Works and Musical Works embodied in the Sound Recordings, and Audio Visuals of all the songs (hereinafter referred to as "Music and Audio Visual Song Rights") for entire world in perpetuity for exploitation on all modes, media and formats (whether existing now and / or arising in future)in the Hindi language film currently "Untitled", to be released as a franchise of the «HERA PHERI’ films (hereinafter referred to as the "Franchise Film"); The Music and Audio Visual Song Rights were assigned by Base Industries Group to T-Series."

About the film

The highly anticipated third part of 'Hera Pheri ' franchise will start shooting soon. Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Sunil Shetty will be joined by Sanjay Dutt in the cast. There are rumours that Kartik Aryan might become a part of the film too. Farhad Samji is going to direct the film.
