So far in the IPL 2023 tournament, Rinku Singh has scored 337 runs in 11 appearances.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) explosive player Rinku Singh has impressed both his fellow players and his fans. But now, the player has earned his biggest compliment as Indian cinema’s megastar Rajinikanth recently called him up to praise him for his impressive outings in the IPL 2023.
Nonetheless, it would not be wrong to say that Rinku Singh is a gem of a player and he has proved his worth in the 16th edition of the tournament with his scintillating batting exploits. The 25-year-old batter got into limelight during the high-voltage match against Gujarat Titans, wherein he scored five sixes on the trot to win the game for KKR.
Similarly, he yet again displayed nerves of steel during a pivotal knock out match against Punjab Kings on May 8, when the match came down to the point of winning with a boundary off the last ball.
Now as Rinku Singh grabbed the headlines with his performances in the top-tier league, megastar Rajinikanth reportedly made a phone call to the KKR player. He not only praised him but also encouraged him for his stupendous campaign in the 2023 season. Rinku Singh has so far collected 337 runs in 11 appearances with an excellent average of 56.17.
Speaking about KKR in the ongoing season, the Nitish Rana-led side is currently at the sixth place on the IPL Points Table with 10 points in 11 matches. The team will be playing against Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals at the iconic Eden Gardens on Thursday, May 11. Considering their records in the last five matches, KKR have the slight upper hand against Rajasthan. On the other hand, the RR team is avoiding a fourth straight defeat in their upcoming match.
In addition to this, KKR wants to swoop over the two points against the Royals as it would help them climb up to third place in the ladder. The two-time winners also need to gain momentum in the upcoming group fixtures so as to make their spot in the playoffs.
As for Rajinikanth, the actor has ‘Jailer’ in the pipeline, and would also make a cameo as Moideen Bhai in his daughter Aishwarya's 'Lal Salaam'.
