However, there are some ancient trees on earth that are truly remarkable and are a sight to see. They even have interesting stories. Here are some of the world’s oldest trees you may not be aware of. Methuselah  in California Methuselah is a bristlecone pine tree, which is situated in California’s White Mountains. It is believed to be around 5000 years old This tree is reportedly the world's oldest non-clonal tree. However, the exact location of this special tree has not been revealed in order tosafegaurd it. Old Tjikko in Sweden OLD TJIKKO in SWEDEN is reportedly the world's oldest living tree. It is said to have sprouted more than 9550 years ago, which was sometime during the last ice age. The tree in the Dalarna province of Sweden is 16 foot long. What is even more fascinating about this tree is that its root system got started when an ice bridge connected the British Isles to Europe. It was discovered by a geologist named Leif Kullman. The Tree Of One Hundred Horses  in  Sicily The Tree of One Hundred Horses is a very bug chestnut tree, which is situated close to the Mount Etna volcano in Sicily. It is thought to be somewhere between 2000 and 4000 years old. Its interesting name is derived from an old legend. Legend has it that about 100 drenched knights and their steeds took refuge under its protective branches to wait out a thunderstorm. Llangernyw  inNorth Wales Llangernyw is a lush yew tree, which is about 4000-year-old. Llangernyw was planted in what is currently a churchyard in North Wales. It began to take shape during a time when Egyptian Pyramids were the new development of that time period. FitzroyaCupressoides  in Chile FitzroyaCupressoides is almost like a tall and thin evergreen that can be found in the Andes Mountains. Over the years, scientists have been monitoring one specific tree, which is believed to be almost 3600 years old in order to protect it.  Zoroastrian Sarv in Iran The Zoroastrian Sarv is a beautiful tree that is located in central Iran. The 4000-year-old cypress is a national treasure. This tree came to be when wheels with spokes were being invented by ancient people in Central Asia.
