Kunal Kemmu made his debut as a child actor when he starred in the Doordarshan TV series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam (1987), before making his film debut with Mahesh Bhatt's film Sir (1993). He later starred as a child artist in several films including Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Bhai, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Dushman. He bagged his leading role as an actor in the 2005 film Kalyug, which was helmed by Mohit Suri. However, he rose to fame when he starred in Golmaal 3, and further cemented his position as a comedy actor by starring in Go Goa Gone, a Zombie comedy film, released in 2013. Kunal was also part of the fourth instalment of Golmaal film series, titled Golmaal Again.

Considered as India’s first zombie film, the film has gradually attained cult status, and Kunal was loved in the film, thanks to his superb comedic timing.
The comic drama revolves around a regular man Nandan Kumar, whose life takes a turn when he discovers a suitcase full of money. His amusing dialogues and acting kept the viewers engaged throughout.
Directed by Vipul Mehta, the film is based on the famous Gujarati play Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo. The black comedy, set in Lucknow, revolves around a miserly person who saves money to send his parents on a pilgrimage. However, when he loses his parents in a flood, he realises that he would get only half the compensation amount due to corruption. Kunal plays Jamuna Prasad Pandey, and his comic timing in the film is much appreciated.
