During the previous campaign, Jyoti and Gokulam Kerala FC won the Indian Women's League. The first foreigners to play for the Dinamo Zagreb women's football squad are Jyoti and Soumya Guguloth of Gokulam Kerala FC.
Five international clubs (Rangers WFC, Marbella FC, ZNK Dinamo Zagreb, Western Sydney Wanders FC, and Melbourne Victory FC) instructed, evaluated, and prepared Jyoti prior to joining Zagreb in the hopes that he would be chosen and given the opportunity to sign a professional contract. Aside from that, they engaged in two friendly contests with Kolkata's youth teams.
All coaches were favourably astonished by the skill level, technique, and knowledge of the two Indian players, and ZNK Dinamo Zagreb didn't waste any time in inviting Jyoti and Soumya to Croatia for their preseason and longer trials.
Eventually, before the start of the current league season, Jyoti Chouhan signed a one-year contract with Dinamo Zagreb, becoming their first foreign player.
