A defining moment in the Titans' journey came in the 2022 season when they clinched their maiden title under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya

Gujarat Titans (GT) have rapidly gained recognition in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since their establishment in 2021, proudly representing Gujarat on the cricketing stage. Led by the dynamic Shubman Gill, who succeeded the illustrious Hardik Pandya, the Titans have become known for their thrilling performances at the iconic. Not to forget, despite being one of the newest teams in the tournament, the Titans have already lifted the IPL trophy once and are in contention to reach the playoffs in the ongoing IPL season.

233 vs. MI, 2023

Gujarat Titans have showcased their batting prowess by consistently surpassing the 200-run mark, establishing themselves as a formidable force in the IPL. In a thrilling encounter against Mumbai Indians in the IPL Qualifier 2, Gujarat posted an imposing total of 233/3. Led by a magnificent innings from Shubman Gill, who scored a blistering 129 off just 60 deliveries, the Titans' batting lineup wreaked havoc on the Mumbai Indians bowlers. Sai Sudharsan also contributed significantly, with a brisk 43 before retiring out.

Despite valiant efforts from Mumbai Indians, who managed only 171 runs in 18.2 overs, Gujarat's bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan, picked up crucial wickets and restricted the opposition's batting lineup. This victory propelled Gujarat Titans to the final, facing Chennai Super Kings. Although they couldn't maintain the momentum and lost, reaching the final was a remarkable achievement for the Titans, especially after posting their highest score in the IPL.

Shubman Gill's dazzling display propelled Gujarat Titans to a 62-run victory over Mumbai Indians in the IPL playoff 2023. Gill's stunning 126 off 60 balls powered Gujarat to 233-3. His innings featured ten sixes and seven boundaries, showcasing his batting prowess. Displaying composure and aggression, Gill reached fifty in 32 balls before accelerating to a century in 49 balls. His tournament tally of 890 runs earned him the Orange Cap.

Best bowling figures by a Gujarat bowler

Mohit Sharma's superb bowling against MI was crucial in Gujarat Titans' win, underlining his importance to the team. He conceded just ten runs in 2.2 overs while taking five wickets, with an economy rate of 4.28. His first breakthrough came in the 14.3 over, dismissing Suryakumar Yadav. Then, in the 14.5 over, he got Vishnu Vinod out. Sharma continued his dominance, taking three more wickets in quick succession. His remarkable spell helped GT secure a 62-run victory.

GT's best run chase

In a thrilling encounter between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore last year, the Titans secured their best-run chase, winning by six wickets with five balls to spare, all thanks to a brilliant century from their captain, Shubman Gill. Gill's unbeaten 104 off 52 balls was instrumental in Gujarat's successful chase of RCB's challenging total. RCB had posted a formidable 197/5, powered by an outstanding unbeaten century from their captain, Virat Kohli, who scored 101 off 61 balls. Alongside Gill's century, Vijay Shankar played a crucial innings, contributing 53 runs off 35 deliveries. Despite losing a few wickets, the Titans maintained their momentum and secured victory with five balls remaining.
