Several players from both sides have played in the stadium, but only a handful of players have two or more appearances
On the evening of May 13, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. This venue is being used by RCB, as their original home is undergoing safety checks; therefore, KKR will have to visit uncharted territory – a stadium where the purple side has played only one game, which they lost. On the other hand, RCB has so far played two matches in Raipur and won both.
One of the best IPL games this season at Raipur Cricket Stadium.

Funny how this same venue gave us 700+ runs in India vs South Africa a few months ago and yesterday even 160 odd felt like 250.
Any word for this stadium @vikrantgupta73 ? pic.twitter.com/uURSghsvva
Not only does the appearance of teams matter, but also the players who have previously played at this venue. Ahead of their clash, let us look at the players who have made the most appearances at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium across tournaments and teams.

Virat Kohli has the most experience of playing in Raipur, having played two IPL matches for RCB and two ODIs for India. In 2023, he scored 11 against New Zealand, whereas in 2025, he made 102 against South Africa. In 2016, Kohli scored 54 runs against the Delhi Daredevils, whereas in his last game against the Mumbai Indians, he went to the dugout with a duck.

RCB’s trusted pacer Kumar has played two matches at the venue – once in 2013 for the Pune Warriors versus the Delhi Daredevils, and the second time was this year when he racked up four wickets for RCB against the Mumbai Indians.
Jitesh Sharma
RCB’s Jitesh Sharma has also played two matches at the venue, scoring 35 runs against Australia in a T20 game in 2023, whereas in the last game versus Mumbai, he scored 18 off 12 deliveries.
Other RCB players
Other RCB players, such as Krunal Pandya, Suyash Sharma, Rasikh Salam, Venkatesh Iyer, and Devdutt Padikkal, have played one match at the venue across competitions.

Unfortunately, KKR cannot weigh in on experience at the venue. Only Rinku Singh and Varun Chakaravarthy have played one T20I each in Raipur. Singh scored 46 off 29 for India vs Australia in the 4th T20I in 2023, whereas Varun dismissed Tim Seifert vs New Zealand in the 2nd T20I in 2026. Rahul Tripathi and Navdeep Saini have also played one game each at the venue, but those were domestic first-class cricket matches.
RCB clearly has a slight edge in experience at the venue, coupled with the confidence of their strong performance on the evening of May 10 against the Mumbai Indians.
