As per AI’s prediction, Kohli will register more runs than Sharma
India’s ongoing ODI series against Australia Down Under is not going in favour of the Men in Blue, having lost the first game without putting up a fight. However, out of 11 players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been absorbing the heat from fans and pundits for their rusty form and lacklustre performances.

Expectations are still high for the two Indian stars, but there is no guarantee that their performances will improve in the remainder of the series, i.e., in the second and third matches. Determining the future is simply not possible, and therefore, we turned to AI to predict the performances of Sharma and Kohli in the next two matches.
Here's the prediction by AI.
Rohit Sharma’s form
Before giving its prediction, AI took into account Rohit Sharma’s ODI form, going back as early as England’s ODI tour in India. ChatGPT noted that while Rohit Sharma was inconsistent, getting out for a single digit in two matches, he scored 119 runs in Cuttack. However, in the Champions Trophy 2025, even though India won, Rohit Sharma made 180 runs in five matches at an average of 36.

ChatGPT’s verdict
ChatGPT also highlighted Rohit Sharma’s performance in Adelaide, the venue for the second game. Pulling his ODI record, ChatGPT said it has not been impressive, with a mere average of 19.13.
Given that Sharma has been away from cricket for a while, he is not expected to get a big innings. The AI states that there is a possibility of Sharma getting one decent innings with runs varying between 50 and 70. However, a century is unlikely, and out of two innings, another inning will see Rohit get out below 30.

Overall, Sharma is likely to end the series with no more than 100 runs in three matches.
Verdict on Virat
Moving on to Virat Kohli, ChatGPT heavily praised Virat’s record in Adelaide, which is one of his favourite hunting grounds. The AI firmly believes that in Adelaide, Kohli will go big with runs in the 70s or 80s zone; even a century could be on the cards.

If Kohli finds success in Adelaide, it will boost his confidence and help him regain his form, which could lead to another decent knock in the third game. Overall, Kohli is expected to score around 130-150 runs by the end of the series, edging out Rohit Sharma.
Last but not least, the AI also backed Kohli more than Rohit Sharma, given Kohli has been terrific in Australia across formats, which earned him the tag of ‘King’ among the Australian media.
