Bread is often the most preferred item for breakfast or during snack time, as it is easy to make and fills your stomach. But often we get bored with it because of its limited recipes, it’s either a sandwich or a French toast. So to make it more interesting and fun, here we are bringing you four delicious bread recipes which will make your snack more interesting.
We have all eaten Poha in our life, it’s a healthy, tasty, filling dish but you probably have never tried a Poha with bread. To make a breadPoha you will need 8-10 bread slices, mustard seeds, curry leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, peanuts, urad dal, chana dal, vegetables as per your need and regular spices. First of all, you need to cut 8bread slices into square pieces. Then, heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium flame and add 2 teaspoon mustard seeds and 10 curry leaves to it, and wait for the seeds to sputter. Then add 3 tablespoons of raw peanuts and roast,1/2 teaspoon chana dal and 1/2 teaspoon urad dal and cook for a minute and keep stirring. To this mixture, add 1 chopped onion and saute. Then, add the vegetables and spices. Then add the bread pieces to the mix. Sprinkle a few drops of water and mix well. Turn off the flame and garnish with lemon juice, sugar and chopped coriander leaves.
Usually, pizzas are exotic dishes that we eat occasionally, but turn this exotic dish into a simple snack with the help of bread. All we need to do is heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium flame. Then, add vegetables of your preference (like capsicum, tomato, etc)into the pan and cook until tender. Then add sugar, salt and black pepper powder to it. Take 2 bread slices and spread butter and pizza sauce on the slices. Place the cooked vegetables over the bread slices. Add grated cheese over it and grill for 3 – 4 minutes . Finally, serve hot with tomato sauce and put chilli flakes and oregano for garnish.
Bread rolls are deep-fried bread rolls with stuffing inside. To prepare this roll you first need to boil potatoes, carrots and beans. Then mash the vegetables and add spices like turmeric, chilli powder, salt garam masala, amchur and black pepper according to your taste and again mix it. Then take the slices of bread and cut down the edges, brush the surface of the bread with water or milk so that it turns moist and then add the vegetable stuffing inside the bread and roll it. Then lastly take a pan add 2 tablespoons of oil and after the oil is hot add the bread rolls and fry until it gets golden. Finally, serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
Bread Rava Toast
Bread Rava toast is a tastier and healthier alternative to normal bread toast.
To make this amazing snack you need to make the batter for the toast. In a medium-sized bowl, add 1 cup Rava-upma mix, 1/3 cup curd and 2 tablespoons of chopped vegetables like onion, capsicum, carrot, etc as per your choice. Mix all the ingredients to make a smooth batter and add salt as required. Then take 8 bread slices and cut the slices into half. Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame and toast the slices on it. Put ghee around the edges of the slices during toasting . And then apply a thin layer of batter on one side of the slice. Flip the slice on the pan and spread green chutney on the opposite side of the slice. Cook the toast until golden brown and serve with any sauce of your choice.
