Having conquered the silver screen, these actors are all set to take over the digital screen

The year of 2020 has been no less than a surprise in the field of entertainment. There has been a hoard of series that made way to OTT platforms with many Bollywood actors making their debut. These actors have been a surprise element.

Naseeruddin Shah He has been ruling the silver screen with his impeccable performances and now he has taken over the digital platform with the musical Bandish Bandits. Shah is seen as a musical maestro in the show and every bit of his acting makes you believe him for a trained musician.

Sushmita Sen After a break, the former beauty queen returned with a power-packed performance in Aarya. The story revolves around Sen, a mother who is forced to take over her husband’s business after his death. It is here that the story begins when she realizes how she is dragged into the world of crime which has no escape.

Saif Ali Khan After not so fruitful films, like Rangoon, Chef, and Baazaar, Saif's took to OTT by a storm as a Sikh police inspector. His intense characterization, going deep into the suspense in Sacred Games is beyond words.

Abhishek Bachchan He made his digital debut with the psychological thriller Breath: Into the Shadows where is trying to free his daughter from kidnappers but before that he has to kill a few innocent people.

Arshad Warsi The actor is best known for his comic timing but he shed that mold and took onto the digital platform with crime thriller Asur. Warsi plays Dhananjay Rajput, a mentor to actor Barun Sobti in the series that is inspired by the American series True Detective. Like always it is a visual treat to see him act, as he effortlessly transits from comedy to a much complex role.

Bobby Deol After a hiatus from acting, making a comeback in films and subsequently, to the digital platform with PrakashJha’sAashram and Class of ‘83, Bobby Deol proves that he is the best. In Class of ’83, he plays a cop-turned-dean of a police academy whereas in Aashram He plays Baba Nirala, a self-proclaimed godman.

Radhika Apte She is the queen of OTT and rightly so as she earned widespread praise for her performance in series like Lust Stories, Sacred Games, Ghoul, and Raat Akeli Hai.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Like Apte, Siddiqui can be termed as the King of OTT. He started his OTT career with British crime drama McMafia and went on to become the nation’s favourite with his role in Sacred Games, as Ganesh Gaitonde and then in Raat Akeli Hai and Ghoomketu.

Even Lara Dutta Bhupathi made it to OTT with series Hundred as an inspector and Karisma Kapoor as a mother with Mentalhood.
