Tollywood and Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has received a unique tribute from a grateful fanbase for his selfless work during the pandemic. Gismat Jail Mandi, a popular mandi restaurant chain with 17 branches across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, has launched a massive thali named the ‘Sonu Sood Plate’ in his honour.
The restaurant’s founder, Gautamy Choudary, said the plate was named after the actor because of his “big heart.” Sonu Sood, touched by the gesture, praised the restaurant for combining food and joy in such a creative way. Sharing the news on social media, he wrote: “India's biggest plate is now named after me. Being a vegetarian who eats very little, I never imagined having a plate that satisfies 20 people at once. Humbled.”
Designed to serve up to 20 people at a time, the ‘Sonu Sood Plate’ offers a lavish spread of dishes, turning a simple meal into a feast for families. The initiative became a sensation in both states, drawing crowds to try the famous plate.
