When Chris Evans Spoke About His Spiritual Connection with India

During an interview in 2012, Chris revealed that he had visited Rishikesh in the early 2000s.

He said, "I spent three weeks in Rishikesh in 2005 or 2006 at a Buddhist retreat. I attend a Buddhism class here in LA and the woman who teaches had trained there. So, we all went and stayed in this little village for about three weeks, hiked the Himalayas, camped on the banks of the Ganga… it was great."

Notably, in another interview, the actor said that he is keen on working in a Bollywood film. He said, "I'm sure there are some great directors so, of course, it's not about the genre for me; it's about the directors - so count me in!"

The actor initially turned down the role of Captain America twice, as he was afraid of losing his anonymity.

He auditioned for Steven Spielberg’s 'West Side Story', but got rejected.
