How 'Big Brother' Changed Shilpa Shetty's Career

Shilpa participated in the reality show 'Big Brother' in the UK in 2007, and was declared a winner.

It was that time when the actress was having a downfall in her career. Almost all her films were failing terribly at the box office.

Well, 'Big Brother' turned out to be a game changer in her career.

Recently, Shilpa opened spoke in an interview about how her career got revived by the reality show. She said, "Big Brother happened and it changed people’s perspective towards me. It gave me international recognition. It revived my career and that time I decided I want to get married."

The actress further said that she had thought she would get eliminated from the show in the second week. She said, "In the third week it dawned upon me that the Asians are all voting for me. All the Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis they really went all out voting for me. I won by 64% votes."

Notably, in an earlier interview, Shilpa said that she would not participate in another reality now, because of her responsibilities as a mother. She added, “You know the situation was different then. I was footloose and fancy free and today I have two kids. I don’t even get out to go to work. So, I want to do everything, I do businesses that I can just run from my house. Even now for me to get out and shoot is cumbersome because I don’t want to be complacent but I’m not someone who aims to do something. There is no goal.”
